Message From Coach Childress

Welcome to the 2021-2022 Cherokee Trail High SchoolBasketball season.  We are all sograteful to be able to play a normal schedule this season after a disappointingCOVID shortened year.  The Cougars lookto bounce back from that tough season with the most experiencing returning inCoach Childress’ tenure at CT.

We open the season with an exciting slate of non-conferencegames including Aurora Public Schools Gateway, Rangeview and Hinkley, whilealso taking on Lakewood and Heritage from across the Metro area.

The Cougars conclude the non-conference portion of theirschedule with a trip to San Luis Obispo, California and the ultra competitiveMission Prep Tournament.  The list offormer college greats and even NBA players who have participated in thetournament is long.  While this is thefirst time CT has traveled for this tournament, it’s not for Coach Childress ashe took Grandview out to SLO twice.

Following Christmas Break, the Cougars return to thehardwood for league competition in the perennially tough Centennial League.

Come cheer on these young men as they play with class, discipline and passion on the court in an effort to bring Cherokee TrailBasketball to the upper levels of Colorado Basketball.
